Re: Thickson Road Reservoir, Region of Durham

As you know, I retired from the Region of Durham, Works Department at the end of last year, after 34 years of service. During my last year and a half with the Region, I had the opportunity of "heading up" the Construction Division and, in this role I was responsible for all municipal services capital construction. This, of course, included the Thickson Road Reservoir project that you completed

It would be very remiss of me not to extend my sincere appreciation to you, Claudio and Joe, for your professionalism and cooperation during this project. It was particularly difficult with the concrete drivers strike and the inclement weather but with your team's hard work, we managed to see the project to a successful conclusion. It was a pleasure to work with you.

Cheers for now and my best wishes in your future endeavors.

Yours truly, M. T. Wilson, C.E.T.,
(Former Head of the Construction Division, Region of Durham, Works Department)

To: Carosi Construction Limited

I am pleased to have this opportunity to express to you my appreciation for your work on the Lambton-Kingsway Junior-Middle School Project in the former Etobicoke Board of Education (now part of the Toronto District School Board). I have attended this site many times since its completion and I get a visual reminder, on each visit, of the quality of workmanship that Carosi Construction brought to this project.

I also had an opportunity last fall to visit a project that you completed on behalf of the former Scarborough Board of Education (now part of the Toronto District School Board), namely Military Trail Public School. On this visit I was impressed, once again, with the workmanship and attention to detail of yourself and indeed your team at Carosi Construction.

Tony it has been my pleasure to have worked with you on educational projects in the former Etobicoke Board of Education.

Sincerely, Gary M. Parkinson, Executive Officer, Facility Services

To: Carosi Construction Ltd.

We are pleased to offer our letter of reference and recommendation for Carosi Construction Ltd., following what we feel was, a very successful $3.25 million, Community Centre with gymnasium, project for the City of Scarborough in Armadale Park. Carosi won the award as one of 12 pre-qualified bidders. The Armadale Community Centre was completed within the original budget, set by Council. Carosi had good control of the project and professionally handled our clients tight budget constraints and time pressures from the public to open the facility as early as possible. Carosi's management and field staff were very co-operative in working out various site conditions, owners changes and in particular assisting with a costs savings analysis process which was implemented to maintain budget control. We have no hesitation in recommending Carosi for similar projects.

Yours very truly, Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners, Brian James Aitken

We are writing to confirm that Carosi Construction Limited performed the work of General Contractor on the "Peel Manor - Alterations and Additions - Phase 3A" project which was designed and administered by our office. Construction took place in l991. The project involved an addition to the existing Peel Manor Home for the Aged in Brampton, Ontario as well as extensive internal alterations and renovations. The home is owned and operated by the Regional Municipality of Peel, Social Services Department. The addition added residents rooms, washrooms, nursing stations, lounges, corridors and mechanical rooms. Alterations and renovations involved residents rooms (refurbished including finishes, windows, mechanical and electrical systems), washrooms (complete renovation and re-arrangement), administration areas (revised and relocated). lounges and corridors. The overall project was phased and was undertaken by two different Contractors, with Carosi performing the first portion of the work. The home remained in full operation at all times, although overall home population had been lowered to allow for some empty bed spaces. All emergency systems, mechanical systems, fire exit routes were maintained at all times to ensure the safety of the residents.
